St Annes and Werne Twinning Link
The Town Council has succeeded in revitalise the twinning link between Lytham St Annes and Werne. Next year will be the 25th anniversary of the signing of the twinning charter and we are planning a three-day celebration in June 2009 involving visitors from Werne.
We have set up a small working group to organise fund-raising events, marketing and sponsorship, and a trip to Werne.
A successful first event (a Dine In) was a sell out and raised almost £450 for the Twinning Association.
The next event is a Cheese and Wine evening which will include a slideshow. It takes place at the Assembly Rooms in Lytham on Wed 25th November starting at 7.30.
We are also open to other ideas so let us know what you think. We need you to keep our links going for the next 25 years! So please get in touch.
